Are you using too thick of a pillow?

What is the healthiest position to sleep in?

Back Sleeping is by far the best position for your neck, shoulders,  spine and hips

What is the best pillow choice for you?

Pillow choice is based on sleeping position

  • Back sleeping requires a flat pillow or neck roll just large enough to open up the throat and gently position the neck into a stressless position 
  • Side Sleeping requires a pillow thick enough to keep a 90 degree angle from the base of the neck to the edge of the deltoid as to not squish the shoulders into the neck or press the ear toward shoulder shortening all the neck muscles
  • Stomach Sleeping normally requires a little finagling of pillows to create a position that doesn't lock up the neck or shoulders. It generally causes an over shortening of the neck muscles and isn't the healthiest sleeping position for the body
  • Fetal Position Sleeping requires a thick enough pillow just the same as side sleeping. This position causes an over shortening of the psoas
